This Grimm fairytale yet again includes gory details like cannibalism. In Snow White the evil stepmother sends assassins to bring back Snow White’s liver and lungs to eat them so she can become the fairest of them all. When the prince and Snow White eventually marry they invite the step-mother to the ceremony and force her to dance in hot iron shoes until she dies.
The illustration by Alexander Zick again does not show the gory details of cannibalism or the stepmother slowly dying in her hot iron shoes. Instead it focuses on the prince falling in love with Snow White at her beautiful glass coffin right before she awakes and marries the prince
