This flag includes the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. The cyan stripe was removed from this flag in order to have an even number of stripes. This change was made for the San Francisco Pride Parade in 1979, as the event runners wanted to have an even amount of stripes on both sides of their parade route. This flag variation is now very commonly used to represent the queer community as a whole, and is arguably the most recognizable variation.
