Following the exhibit in Tokyo, the Mona Lisa was sent to Moscow. This photograph was taken at the Mona Lisa’s display at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow, Russia. Pictured in the photograph is Irina Antonova, the Director of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. This is the sixth image in “The Trials, Travels and Thrills of the Mona Lisa” because it was the last time that the Mona Lisa was displayed abroad. Over one million viewers came to see the Mona Lisa in Moscow. After its exhibition in Russia, the Mona Lisa returned to its home in France, where it has remained ever since.
